I don't consider AR as company which prioritises the minis. They seem to tell a very specific story though. Great Wall is somewheat different cause its Euro, that is not what they usually do.Īlso not sure how much narrative is in both Nemesis games. However The Edge: Downfall had a campagain game with overarching story, Marcin said that in the same Q&A. I don't know much about Lords of Hellas / Ragnarok - both never grab my attention, but they seem to take place in some specific universe, and I belive that AR took care about at least creating some minimal narrative aspect there. Boardgames can gather couple of milion USD, but the same amount those companies can get from selling T-Shirts or Cups, so its not that attractive to them (profit-wise), they might want to extend their reach, so those certainly are more likeley then the others (IMHO), but still less-likely then the others. Such big companies as Nintendo (Pokemon), BioWare (Dragon Age), Square (Chrono Tiger) would not be interested in this. So based on this I would have definitelly ruled out any game that is not in similar theme (because it doesn't "fit them") - that includes GTA, X-Files and Sopranos.Īlso IMHO they wouldn't do anything much Sci-fi after two of their last games being sci-fi (Nemesis: Lockdown and ISS Vanguard), so that rules out Aliens and Star Trek (ISS Vanguard can be considered Star Trek) and Star Wars and Farscape.Īlso I would rule out all electronic games franchises, because in same Q&A Marcin said it is not that scale. ISS Vanguard - Sci-fi exploration and adventure and coop epic narrative.Nemesis: Lockdown - same theme as before but now in space base.Etherfields - world of dreams and nightmares on board game, coop, and epic narrative experience.Taitned Grail - cooperative adventure in dark arthurian world and epic narrative experience.Lords of Hellas - war amongs techno variations of Greek gods. The Edge: Downfall - tactical fight in Sci-fi world.

I would literally piss my pants to be honest - Stormlight Archive series is amazing. Stormlight Archive is pretty epic ✓, it definitelly would fit Awaken Realms (huge world, heavy storytelling, lots of stuff) ✓, it is external IP ✓, and he never mentioned something like this ✓. Brandon mentioned May this year that they plan to prepare something, and there was this poll which kind of game people would like to see. My other guess is something based on Stormlight Archive from Brandon Sanderson. I doubt that it will be something that they could easily do alone (like they did with Aliens :P). What do you think what they are working on? I'm betting on something Cthlhuish (?), but than again he said we'll be surprised. It is something that fits us pretty well. It is nothing that I mentioned before, but our whole team is absolutely excited for it. It will be the first time, for a long time, that we've done it. One thing that I can say is that it will be based on external IP (.). One of them we are finalizing and it'll be pretty epic. Last Monday (8th of Nov) Marcin mentioned on his weekly Q&A that they are already working on some next epic, campaign based on some Intelectual Property. I want to hear your opinions and predictions.
